Hello All,

Well I did it a bought a 2003 STR with 87k miles. Trans was overhauled at 80k and reflashed with the new program. Great service history and no accidents, as well as one owner it's whole life.

It's for the fiance so I hope she likes it, I know I do. Couple questions; I feel a vibration at idle while stopped, could this be motor or tranny mounts? Other than that anything else I should watch out for?

Hope to have a good ownership experience here

Cheers.

Welcome. I can't imagine handing an STR to anyone but let's pass over that

Please try to expand on the vibration. What sort of frequency? In which of P, N & D (with brake on)? With a/c off as well as when on? Does it change at all if you put lots of electrical load on (which will force higher rpm)? Etc.

I never heard of the mounts on an STR going bad but that doesn't prove they don't!

Point 1 - noted

It's in D mode at a stop light, if I throw her in neutral it sort of goes away. I'll try to pin point it later today, I just picked it up last night.

I'll also try the AC on and off.

Ok couple things, thanks for the welcome guys. Second, how can I change my username from locabrew(mis-typed) to localbrew.

Also, why am I not allowed to open pictures and see certain things. It says I don't have permission.

Thanks!

First off you cannot change name... since you have a low post count you can always re-sign up and let the mods know so they can delete "locabrew"

Second because of the low post count you do not have full access yet. you need a 10 post count to become a full member. Its due to the spamming, or now at the sight no-more spamming!
