Default New toy

Hello everyone
I have two questions one car related one not
Non car related would probably suit someone in the United States
Car related question
I made the decision to purchase a 2002 s type R
To go along with my 2004 4.2 s type
On the way home I hit a pot hole
New Zealand is the pot hole Capital of the world

After hitting this pot hole my abs and Traction control lights came on
when I got home I put car on my scanner but it will not link to car all I get is link not available but will work on the 2004
At the moment I have a carsoft CR PRO
any advice on what would be a good all round scanner to purchase please

Non car related Probably best for someone in the United States
ok I have been in a united States bond syndicate for a number of years with some friends unfortunately most have passed away
only two left in syndicate
well f me our numbers came up
We received a email from the national background investigation bureau (NBIB) saying I need to apply for a nbib government certificate
But don't know what that is
At first I thought it was a scam
So contacted our police and nz cyber security
and have been informed that it is genuine email from united States government no scam
so now need to get things moving as winnings are
1.5 million United States dollars each after Federal tax has been taken out or 3.2 million new Zealand dollars
each
So if someone can please explain what a nbib government certificate is
I would be greatly appreciative
Thanking you
Darrol

The same OBD tool should work on both cars.

You may need to troubleshoot the OBD (DLC) on the one where it doesn't - wiring, fuses, etc.

Maybe buy a cheap elm327 as an easy way to try to dodge the above. Won't do much but will be a very trivial check.

I don't get why yours doesn't work - read other posts about that tool.

That's why I'm thinking get a really cheap one like elm327 just to show things are electrically etc sane. Easier than pinpoint tests for every OBD/DLC wire

We don't know what a bond syndicate is?
Bonds don't have winnings? The pay interest or coupons?

Are you gambling on line in the US and the US government wants their cut of the profits you made??

Hi
in New Zealand we have what we call bond syndicates
where you put money in

another name for it is lottery
over in nz if you keep using same numbers for more than 5 years we call it a bond syndicate sorry for the confusion

Hey thanks! I learned something today! We are lottery crazy here in the US. So many different ones I can't even count them. I will say when the jackpots are over $1 Billion dollars it does stop and make you think a minute!
But since your in NZ I don't think the US IRS has any say on that?
Unless you are also a US citizen?

Hi thanks for imput
Thats what I thought but have since found out
That i doesn't matter where you live
if that Country has tax on lottery winnings you have to pay it
so yes I had to pay federal tax to the irs
have also found out that a NBIB GOVERNMENT CERTIFICATE is to prove money is from lottery winnings
and not Proceeds of crime
And to show the taxes have been paid
If you live in a different country
All done now just need wait

Sorry for the off topic stuff but are you playing US based lotteries?
That might be the reason?
Sounds complicated too.
