Default Newbie to changing spark plugs on s-types

Can anyone tell me exactly what I will need to change my spark plugs, always had the shop I take it to do it in the past, but to save some money on labor I would like to do it myself. Do I need a special tool? or can I use a ratchet and socket? thanks

5/8 deep socket and extension. Consider replacing your valve cover gaskets, ignition coils and crankcase vent tube as well.

Yep your intake manifold (plenum) will have to be removed. So as mentioned by Tony above be prepared to replace those and also might as well replace the infamous elbow under the lower intake as well.

thanks for the info guys. When you say replace the valve cover gaskets, do you mean the green gaskets for in intake? I replaced the valve cover gaskets and the intake gaskets about 10k miles ago when they were leaking, so I wont have to do those again so soon right? With the elbow is that the same as the breather vent tube? and how easy is it to get to once the manifold is off?
