Default no hid headlights

2003 s type, no headlights hid. what is the votage going to the ballast? I know i will have to take off bumper. checked fuses ok. checked relays and they click when putting back in. I am stumped. Seems strange both sides are out. thank

Switch in the collum? (Forget the correct name, but the thing that fails a lot and is talked about a lot on here... all the buttons for the wheel go through it... figure it out yet? lol That thing) Not sure if the control goes through that or not but regardless check the switch.

Did you see if the voltage changes at the lights yet? BTW, just cause the relay clicks when putting it in, does not mean it is working properly. Just means it IS getting power, but is it sending it? Multi-Meeter will be your friend here.

Both not working means something common is at fault... switch, relay, fues, ground...

Edit: you posting from a phone? If so, Mods, why can't we add Sig's from phone?

thanks for the reply. if i get votage to the ballast and turn on and off the headlight switch that i think would tell if the switch is ok i think? do you no the voltage to the ballast?

Not a clue what the voltage should be, but at least it iwll tell you if it's getting power. If they both are, then either both lights are out, or perhaps yuor not getting enough power? Someone more helpfull will chime in I'm sure.

if your getting at least 12.6 to the ballast input, then you should be fine with the switch. Did both go out at once??? or did one go out followed by another?
