[:@][:@][:@]After the (expensive) replacement of three door locks, the drivers lock having already been replaced, I have a lot of noise from the door trims. My gagage in Montpellier, France does
not give a s-.
Can somebody give me the correct sequence for removing the trim without damaging it?
Thanks in advance

Remove the rubber from inside the door handle.Remove the two screws. Then pry the door release surround off GENTLY. Once this is done the door panel simply pops off with a bit of a grunt. Grab from the bottom first.
Once in there, check the seal is intact and replace with gaffer tape accordingly. Clean both surfaces then get an old candle and rub the door panel and door where they join. Put the door panel back on making absolutely sure every white male locator pin mates with it's female locator. Give it a bang every 6 inches with a rubber mallet or your fist to make sure it's tight as possible.
Put the screws back in and reinstall the door release surround.
This should solve any squeaking for some time.

Many thanks, Cosworth. I will try it in the next few days. I guessed the screws were under the rubber but did not go any further. In passing , until six months ago, before the classic problems of door locks, coolant expansion tank and ignition coils, the car was absolutely zero defect for
seven years. Fuel consumption nothing like U.K. figures but on long runs cruising at indicated 156 Km/H (only one point if flashed) around 23m.p.g. Average 19m.p.g. (with good coils!)
