Default O3 Transmission flush

The main Jag dealer in St. Louis charges $1000 to replace the transmission fluid in a 2003 S Type 3.0 liter as well as resrt the computer. Can AAMCO or or other franchise transmission shops service thr ZF transmission?

Probably not unless you purchase and bring your own fluid. Call around and speak with the owner about your situation. Don't just talk to the guy who answers the phone - ask for the owner.

How many miles on your odometer, and what has convinced you that you now need a transmission fluid change?

What sort of computer reset do you think you want and - especially - why? You know your car's full of them, right?

Do a search on this forum. One member CCC did a heck of a good job writing up the transmission fluid change. I would make very sure wherever you are taking it they understand all the things that MUST be done to properly change the fluid. This is one service I would really recommend having the dealer do. Even then it might not get done correctly!!!

There's a TSB about that (transmission growling etc) - see the stickies if you've not read it. Much cheaper than fluid
