Default Obd2 p0664 code

Hello guys,

did someone here encountered code p0664?
This code poped up with check engine light
Obd2 tool reads it something to do with IMT valve control circuit low bank 2a .
when I clear the check engine light it pops up after a day or 2 again but not immediately , driving is smooth can't tell there is any problem ,
what your opinion about that ?

Perhaps you could follow the pin poin point test 'AH' as listed for this fault code that is on page 1905 in the workshop manual:

If you need it here is a link to the electrical guide:

Hi, so
I have checked the voltage as it stated in the guide , it is perfectly fine , greatly appreciate the advice thou ,
plus I have just replaced the o rings in both IMT valves ,
And still experience the same code p0664 IMT control circuit low bank 2a
and now high back 2a too (p0665).

When you removed the IMT valves to replace the seals, did the Bank2 unit move freely?

Since the MIL is on and both P0664 and P0665 DTCs are present, check the engine earthing (ground) for corrosion and tightness. Inspect the wiring loom going to the IMT unit for damage, or at the connector for loose wiring/pins.

Are the two IMT valves interchangeable? If so, and just thinking out loud, would it be worthwhile to swap the two valves for troubleshooting?

After pulling out the bolts , both IMT valves got out without no extra pressure , no oil lickage was present
Checked bank 2 wire for voltage (from battery to the connector) , perfectly fine voltage .

I hope I'm correct in what NBCat is asking..Do the valves move freely once you remove them?

Did the valves move freely when removed from the inlet manifold?

valves itself , rotating mechanics moving smooth , you can hear the motor inside the valves moving properly .

If you followed the AG pin-point tests all the way through including the drive circuit resistance check AG4 you may well need to replace the IMT valve.
