I'll be in on Saturday Likely in the middle of the afternoon. Variable there is, will I go to NYC before or after. I'm from there and I haven't gotten back to see my parents much of late. I figured I'd pad a few days onto the weekend and either go to NYC on Thursday Night, stay a day and Leave Saturday morning for the Burg around 11am. The estimated drive time is 6 and a half hours or so. But if I stay in MD, it's about 3 and a half, and after the festivities, I could head to NYC and hang out two days with my folks. For sure I'll be there either way and Likely between 11am and 6pm on Saturday. I'll get myself set up to stay at the Hampton also.

i have a very good friend of mine, that owns a restaurant and has a bar inside, it would be a 20 minute hike, HOWEVER they are very VEHICLE friendly there, also most of the L.E.O.'s around wouldnt say anything. Food is really good, and there is plenty of parking. I could reserve it if anyone is interested.

Wait, hold up... Jason you're back in PA??
I'm trying to figure out a way to make this work. I can probably delay my work trip to Belgium until the following week. Problem is I might need a last min room. Any idea how booked up that Hampton is?
Any of you boys willing to have a roommate if needed?
Take care,
George

Thanks for jumping in Jason!!!
So Hampton Inn folks - are you interesting in this idea? If so let's let Jason know and figure out a time to depart the hotel and head up to this place.
Would any of the Hampton Inn folks like to grab the lead to organize this procession?
Bodyman/Jim - any thoughts?
I'm screwed for Saturday so I won't be able to coordinate this - Friday evening and of course Sunday I will be around.

I'm game for whatever and if everyone is game for this idea I can jump in and figure out a leave time from the hotel and can convoy up there. Then just meet up with whoever isn't going to meet at the hotel at the restaurant. It's looking like a 30-40 minute drive from the hotel to the restaraunt. So once we get people giving a day they are coming in we can set it in stone when to head up there. I'd say from what I've seen so far 5pm is looking like when the last person is expecting to get to the hotel. So maybe a leave time of 5:30 from the hotel and be at the restaurant by 6-6:20. Can maybe do a small meet of just introductions and car gawking for anyone that hasnt met yet for about 30-45 mins then head in for some grub and brews. Then can always carry on introductions and gawking after grub. Times can vary. How does this sound to everyone??

Thanks for taking the lead Vance.
Recieved an update from JCOP about the event. The location within Linden Hall is changing a little bit (for the good). I think we were going to be on the golf course, but with all the rain we have had the show is moving back to the parking lots near the Linden Hall inn. Nothing to be concerned with on our end. The show is a Rain or Shine event by the way.
There will be some food available at the event - there will be vending outside of the restaurant - breakfast and limited lunch menu will be available in the restaurant and lounge. A vendor will be selling pizza and stromboli, and Linden Hall will be selling grilled foods and beverages.

Don't think I'll be around Saturday either. Triumph club is doing a Poker Run with a FREE picknic that afternoon. I'm a sucker for free food.
Not to screw with the plans but just a FWIW. Laurie and I met friends at Red Dawgs last night. She had wings and said they were good. If I remember $6.99 for 6 whole ones.
At any rate, I'm spraying the bumper covers as we speak. Just waiting for the base to set up. Got an email that the seat belts & module are on their way back. So I'm just gonna be happy if it makes it to the show!!

Awesome Jim - you'll get it done no doubt!
I received another email from JCOP's organizing person. He is excited that we will be attending. He did indicate that there are now about 10 rooms available for the show (Sat. night) at Linden Hall's Inn for $109 a night. Apparently they had some cancellations so they are no longer sold out, at least not as of yesterday. So anyone who has not reserved a room at the Hampton as of yet could have another option. The web link to Linden Hall is on the first page.
He also said there are golf packages at LH for Saturday as well, but tours of the mansion won't be available due to a wedding. I don't know if any of ya'll golf but there is an idea for those coming in Friday night that maybe want an activity for Saturday before meeting up with everyone. I'd call for a tee time for sure if this is of interest to you. I hear it is a first rate course.
Jim - do you know of any car washes in the area? I figure some guys might like to shine up the ride before the show.

There is a car wash right up from the Hampton. Both drive through and spray wand booths. I'd say 1/2 mile maybe less. It's on the left after you crossover I70 going North on 201. I'm thinking there should be one in Perryopolis for anyone staying there but can't say for sure right now. I'll ask my buddy that lives out that way.
Car is coming together nicely. Put the headlights in yesterday and they fit. There is quite a lot going on with one of these front ends as far as geting everything aligned correctly. Got the restraint stuff back yesterday too. With no more surprises we should be good to go.
