Ohh Noooooo.. Not the spring clip
While dutifully replacing my dual coolant control valve, I did the unthinkable;
I removed the spring clip that holds the reservoir coolant hose to the reservoir
and set it aside where I could knock it off into the unplumbed depths of the engine
cavern. Ohhh Noooooooo. It's gone to engine compartment purgatory.
Can anyone offer me either a spare spring clip (see attachment) or a
used reservoir coolant hose (with clip of course). I have everything back
together except this connection and I'm not interested in replacing the
engine again and I'd prefer not to buy a new hose w/ clip if possible.
(The local Jag dealer wants about 20% over retaill price to order one)
Please e-mail me at ttrekell@pspaec.com if you can help.
If you can help, you'll have my undying gratitude

I'm calling my mechanic to see if he still has the clip from the original tank. Will report back to you in a few minutes....mechanic not in yet. Will let you know if I can dig the clip up. He's a Jag/Range Rover/Rolls mechanic so he'll likely have a spare regardless.
