So it's time for me to get an oil change and people always try to tell you, whats the best kind for your car. So I came to you guys. i've been using high mileage oil, but i've had a few people tell me I should use synthetic blend oil. What do you guys think is best?

More important is to do it right - which regularly does not occur with cheap places or even some dealers. You want the right oil level, filter+plug not over- or under-tightened and the engine undershield ("belly pan") properly refastened. DIY is best IMO. Also lets you have a look around the other nearby parts for any problems brewing.

 

And whatever brand makes you happiest- the car couldn't care less.

 

Not sure if they are still doing it, but Advance Auto had a special. Buy the 5.1 quart of NextGen oil (the recycled oil) and get a $20 Amex gift card. Cheapest oil change I ever did.
