It does not sound good!! Any other things acting up?? I would test the coolant for combustion gases as that is simple and quick but generally this means you need a new engine.

I had also heard it could be the head gaskets or intake manifold?? The car was running perfect but I stopped using it when this happened.

Oil in the water is never a good sign. I'm assuming you can dismiss any chance of accidental contamination?

It can be a crack in head or block between an oil and a water passage. Very often it's the head gasket. A cylinder compression test will give a better indication of gasket failure.

Def head Gasket gone! If you did not put the oil in there a Gasket it is. Not the end of the world as long as you did not drive it too much after it happened. Will need Head skimming, gasket repair and worse of all internal clean up! You will not need a new engine as long as you did not cook it completely but you will need a partial rebuild. Do not drive the car until it is checked.

Thank you so much guys for your input..my car has now been sitting since November. I suspected the head gaskets from the beginning. I bought them but have yet to find someone qualified that won't charge me a fortune. If anyone else has any input or prior experience please share. Once again, thank you very much!!

If you're looking for advice on how to DIY, then you should do a forum search or start another thread on 'head removal'.

If you're looking for a local mechanic, location = USA isn't going to get much response from members. Asking for recommendations near to W****** might help.

Default Not head gasket

Usually, oil in reservoir is usually caused by a blown oil cooler not the head gasket. Common problem in jaguars

I agree, particularly if you have a Porsche 944.
