Default Oil Cooler lower air flow tray

Hi all

I have 3.0 year 2000 S Type and had the front bumper cover off this week to carry out some repairs to the headlights. On refitting everything today, I came to fit the small tray that sits just above the valance. Not sure what its really called or what it does.

It clips onto the bottom of the radiator with 4 'S' shaped spring clips. These are completely rusted and of course it just will not go back on. I have attached a couple of photos.

I have two questions

1. I don't drive really hard, so would it do any harm not to refit it?

2. If I want to refit it - does anyone know what these clips are called or where I can get them from? (I am in the UK)

I have searched around the web, but not knowing the name of the part or the correct name of the tray, has not helped my search.

Thanks

Hi
google for jaguar epc (electronic parts catalogue) that will help you find any parts for your car.

If you bend the small teeth out and shift them on the valiance a bit you can make these clips work.

Yes, it is a necessity and there should be another tube connecting to that valiance with 2 push plastic connectors.

Thanks Guys

The existing clips are so corroded that they are not reusable, and I do have the small tube that connects the tray to the cowling on the radiator. . Now I just need to scan through the catalogue to see if I can find them.

Many thanks for the help.
