Default one month with the str all the niggles etc...

4.2 v8 2002 late supercharged

hi its been a month since ive had the str driving it,
puts alot to shame with its very powerfull v8, in that time ive removed the centre exhaust box and put streight through on it wich sounds lovley,

ive heard a few squeals in this car, ones on the left back and the others tend to be coming from interior like the leathers.

now about the entertainment what dvd player can i hook up to this what connection will fit streight in it? is it optical?

the dccv is not in good working order i just wanted to confirm it from you again, does that actually cause the heater to blow only hot on one side and the other side works normal?

im getting some problems when selecting reverse, it takes longer then usuall yo engage and the p light flashes untill i press the brakes?

thanks saf

DVD player won't play anything but nav disks

Yup your dccv is out.

There is a nut on the transmission linkage that likes to back itself out, tighten it down before you lose it and cannot change gears. Also, it is normal for P to blink until you push the brake

If you no longer wanted Nav, could a different unit be installed? I don't have an R so I'm purely just wondering, but wouldn't the video signal use a standard video cable? I just woke up so maybe I'm just making stuff up.

X-Type (yes, X) on UK forum has lots of details. Easiest to read them. But grab JTIS from here for all the jag diagrams etc.

I *think* there is a way to play videos on the screen, but I haven't really looked into it myself.
