opening trunk

Insert the key in the keyhole in the trunk. Look right under the trunk release button right under the chrome Jaguar name that runs along the center of the trunk and you'll see the small key hole. Insert key, turn and voila! BTW, if you're getting power and it's cranking and not starting, open the glove box, and press the valet button. Look at the left hand side of the glove compartment and the you'll see it. If it's pressed in, depress it and the trunk button as well as the one in the cabin should work. Let us know what's wrong with your parents car though.

if the key hole is seized... i would open the hood .. open the fuse box ton the passenger side... when opened you will see a power stud... get a booster pack and put thepositive clamp on the stud and the negative on the intake then wait 10 seconds then press trunk button on key fob..
