Question P0171 and P0174

At first I just had a P0171. I cleaned the MAF sensor and it cleared up for a few weeks. Now I'm getting both. Where should I be looking for a vacuum leak on a STR? I think I might just try a new MAF. Thanks guys.

Usually those 2 codes point to a vacuum leak.

Where should I look for a leak? Where are the common places?

Ditto to Brutal. Have the same code: presently in the shop for a new brake booster port.

Everything in the airpath between the MAF and where it (intake airflow) splits off to separate banks would be suspect, since you are getting codes for both banks. Having said that.....I had both on a 3.0L and could find no evidence of vacuum leaks. Swapped maf's with the other 3.0L in the stable and cured the problem for about a year...when it returned...it came up on the other car...the one that didn't have it before. Swapped back (because that one is based out-of-state with daughter at college) and ordered a new maf. Didn't get any codes in the week and half or so I had the "bad" MAF back on the 05. Good luck with it.
