Default P0172 code on v8

I had the same problem on my 2001 vdp and was able to trace down the problem, but on the 2004 s type r. The problem seems to be more elusive. I have a new K & N air filter and a new map sensor. If the fuel injectors are bad how would you test them?

You could get them flow tested but I'd hunt for any other possible causes first as this isn't common for the STR. Did you check the codes PDF? (Free - in stickies & in JTIS.)

When I first got it the breather hose had a hole in it and I replaced it. I had the same issue with my 2001 vdp. Seems like this restricted performance issue is a little harder to troubleshoot on the str.

It's rare to have that code.
So, did you check the codes PDF and its causes?

edit: get an OBD tool with live data such as elm327 and look at LTFTs (see my sig) at idle - what are they? Also, read freeze frame data and tell us at what speed the code flagged. Next, check sensors for plausibility (e.g. IAT and ECT do what makes sense)
