Default P0306 Cylinder 6 missfire

Would it be reasonable to assume plug coil? It is 2000 4.0 Sport. Which cylinder is 6?

Probably. Is it an 8 or a 6?

I have a 2002 4.0 and I did not do well chasing just one coil at a time. I am now of the school that if you are getting a coil miss (your first or second?)it is best to replace all 8 coils and plugs, otherwise you will replace them one a at time in 2000 mile (or so?) increments.

He is right. We have seen many people start with one coil code and only replace that one. Then get another code within a few months.

Your car is now over 15 years old and ALL of the coils and plugs need to be changed.

Please consider changing the cam cover gaskets as well. This is mandatory if oil/water is found in the plug wells.

It's much easier and quicker to do all of this as one repair job.
