Default P1000

I have a 2003 s type r super charged 4.2 just relaxed knock sensor and cleared codes. All codes are gone but still says restricted performance and has a manufacturer p1000 deal stored. What do I do to get it out of restricted performance mode now?

Fix whatever is causing the RESTRICTED PERFORMANCE and drive the car until the P1000 (readiness not complete) turns into P1111.

Also, it (almost for certain) used to have one or more actual fault codes (other than P1000/P1111) - what were they and what work was done?

Clearing the codes caused P1000. You should only clear the codes if you know what you're doing.

Hopefully you can still refer to what was wrong, and what was done, in order to figure what the problem(s) now is/are, because by clearing the codes the car may not be able to flag things.

You'll need to drive about 100 miles before the P1000 goes away, and the original fault codes, if the condition hasn't changed, will re-post.

Hopefully that will occur.

However, there is a Catch-22 where the OBD monitors which were cleared when the codes were cleared do not set due to faults, and then the car is unable to say what the faults are. In that case the P1000 stays indefinitely and codes can be unavailable.

This is why it's risky to clear codes, bearing in mind a fix means the code will self-clear. At the very least you want to be very sure a fix genuinely has been done.
