Default P1632 smog problem?

Hello everyone it's been a long while since I have posted anything on this forum but I need help with this one please. My 04 S-type will not pass smog. I had the smog technician show that the problem is the computer from the Jag is not communicating with smog machine. He tried four different machines with no success. He even went as to pull the codes for me. He also, reset the computer. After he reset it, I drove the car for about 200 miles. I took to another smog station with the same results.

I had a my mechanic take a look at the car. For some reason the Jag's computer is not communicating when being hooked up to any machine. He looked up the codes and checked all my fuses. About an hour he said that he would need more time and bring it back next week. I don't remember the exact words he said, but he thinks that the car may have an opening with one of the fuses.

I have upload the pic that I took the screen shot in regards to all the codes. Thank you for you assitance.

Something odd there. The B codes are the same as the P ones. Never happens. The tool is almost certainly wrong, sadly.

Also, you just don't get such bizarre mirrored codes all coming back identically, not in my experience.

You can buy an OBD tool cheaply that will probably be more reliable and tell you the actual situation.

Start by reading them, then clear and see which comes back first, especially which P code.

With not having put in your car details it's hard to say more but you can look up the codes in the workshop manual (free download) or I think they'll be in PDFs on Gus's site JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource

I'm by no means sure I can help more but anyone who may be able to needs to know your car details - year, auto/manual, engine size etc.

I don't ever recall anyone with P0568.

P1632 is incredibly rare. Search will show you...

Ignore P1568 (and probably the B codes for now?)

Problem solved. It was the parking assist module shorting the circuit. Thanks for the input JagV8...

Good news!

BTW I meant P1582 not P1568. Sorry.

Can you tell us how the mechanic found it?

Just to help the next guy out. I don't think we have heard of that failure before and it sounded very bad until you got to the bottom of it!
