Default Paddle shift

My STR has a paddle shift gear changes. Was going through spec of these cars - it is not standard is it?
Will post few pics 2morrow.
As mine was tuned by Arden probably it was part of the upgrade

Arden did offer this, and you are correct that the factory STRs did not. How does it perform? I always thought you needed a lot of money to do research and development for a proper paddle shift system, but let us know if it performs well and reliably. If so, you have a much needed upgrade that I wish the STRs all came with!

That is very interesting indeed - I'd like to see some pics as well! How is the shift response compared to the J-gate? Sounds like it may be quicker? I'd imagine they used paddle shifters/system from another vehicle that uses the ZF 6 speed...just a wild guess.

It's a well-known but very rarely-fitted option due to it being rather expensive.
