"PARKBRAKE FAULT" in 2003 S-Type-R
I began getting very rapid (about 10/second) beeps from the dash, for about 5 seconds, with an unknown purpose. Then two days later I got a slower beeping (3/sec) accompanied by a PARKBRAKE FAULT warning with yellow caution light. The car drives normally except for the warning and beeps. The beeps stop when the car is not moving, but continue with any motion forward or reverse. The repair garage said my parking brake pads needed replacing, but after doing so, the fault and beeping remains/continues.
1. Has anyone experienced this, and solved the problem?
2. Does anyone know how to disable the beeper and readout?
Thanks very much in advance for any help anyone can provide.

There was a recall for our cars for the parking brake engaging randomly while driving.. They will replace it for free, you just have to go in and they run the VIN and make sure your car is included.. It should be, because I think all 03's including mine were.. This is only an educated guess though, because without a dealer computer with IDS you can't know for sure.. Eric
