2000 S-type

Rear door at the bottom. Part is broken, but I don't know what it is called.

I'm not sure of the official name, but I'd call it a "door stop", "door strap", or "door travel limiter".

I tried eBay and got many hits for "Jaguar S-Type Door Stop":

I know I’m late to the party .
for what it’s worth -
The official name has been the same since doors were fitted to horse drawn carts/carriages.
its called a check strap .

they used to be literal straps. check arm is the more modern term

Got news for you.. This isn't the right part.

I sent away for the part, and the merchant sent me the part for the front door. I told him and he sent me the one for the rear door. My assistant took it to the body shop this afternoon, and the owner said it is not the right part. This is what he showed my assistant:
