Passenger window going down on it's own!
2003 V8/base. .
The other day a stereo installer took off my front passenger side door panel in order to test the door speaker (all was well), but ever since he put the door panel back on the window will roll down on it's own everytime I turn the ignition on or off. The day after I get into my car in the morning, turn the ignition ON and the window rolls down on it's own and the master switch on the driver's door has no effect. I had to cycle the key OFF and ON in order to get the window to roll up. Then yesterday several times when I turned the igntion OFF, the window rolls down on it's own.
What do you guys think, seen or heard this before?

If the switch is okay, maybe a wire got pinched and has created a bare spot rubbing against ground. Whatever happened, the timeframe certainly points to a new problem created at the stereo shop.
Until you can back there, you may be able to pull a fuse to temporarily disable the window in the closed position.

I think that it might be haunted too. If you can't find a damaged wire, switch, or connector it might be true. At least it's just a mischievous spirit, not anything dangerous. If things don't get settled by the next full moon, I'd suggest an offering at the rising of the next full moon. First paint spots all over yourself and in a fire make an offering of some cat fur and a two dollar bill while singing "The Long and Winding Road." It's been keeping my car in tip top shape for years.

It works for that too. The Official Factory Procedure is to put on your Druid regalia after painting the spots on yourself, in the fire offer a minimum of 10 cubic centimeters of cat fur, and a fifty dollar bill. I was just suggesting the DIY version, of course it's cheaper. If you want to be hands on, you can squeeze the hoses for a while after you are done with your offering.

One other thing that might be worth a try is to pull the fuse for the front passenger window for a while to reset it, maybe do F5 for driver's side too. It is in luggage compartment fuse box, F6, Cartridge type fuse, 20A, Blue. A while ago my rear tail lights were haunted and after my offerings and changing light bulbs weren't working, I pulled all the fuses related to the rear tail lights to reset things and problem solved. So even the tail lights are computerized, maybe the window controls are too.

Well my experience has been that the spirits can be fickle, sometimes offerings work great, sometimes not so good. I guess you really have to be positive and confident when you perform them. Incantations are a bit more complicated. Genuine Jaguar mechanics go through years of training in Druid rituals and incantations, too much for the uninitiated like me, I just stick to simple offerings.
