Default pcm pin #38 location

does anyone know where pin #38 is located in the PCM. i am troubleshooting a MAF P0102 issue. my next step is to meter between the PCM pin #38 and the MAF pin #4. I have no clue which pin is #38 and cannot find a diagram of pin identification in the PCM....

Lady03, let me get home and I will look up in the diagrams I have of where you need to look. Do you know where the PCM is located? Just want to make sure that I am not sending you on a wild goose chase when you don't even know what you are looking for to begin with.

lady03, I am looking at the diagrams for your car and I am a little confuses as to why you are going after Pin 38 to the ECM. That pin feeds power to the IMT valves, not the MAF Sensor. Based on your name, I am making the assumption that you have an 03 X-Type. But, the engine wiring is identical between the the early X-types and the later ones as far as most of the pin out for the PCM.

As for Pin 38, if you locate the PCM, you will notice that it has a rounded top and a flat bottom. If you orientate the plug on the PCM to this convention and you have the plug still attached to the PCM, Pin 38 is on the second row from the bottom, fourth pin to the left of the center gap. It will be an orange wire with a yellow stripe on it.

If you are after Pin 71 (the other end of the wire that goes to Pin 4 of the MAF Sensor), then that would be in the center row of pins, the fourth wire to the right of center. This is an orange wire (no stripe).

Hope this helps.

I've moved this thread to the S-type section + deleted the duplicate there.

The Electrical Guide has every pin shown. Also colours and connector details. Part of JTIS.

That's one of the ones google should find, though probably too early MY.

google really is worth using... or browse the JTIS CD.
