Photo of engine type number?

Two years ago, I moved from the USA to Northern Italy. I am currently in the middle of the process of legalising my 2006 S Type R to use here. I recently finished legalising my 2008 Maserati QPV, so don't tell me (a) how difficult and time-consuming this process can be I know!), or (b) that it can't be done (it can!).
My problem is this: the Motorizazzione Bureau wants a photo of the "engine type number". I did not have to provide this for the Maserati, but they want it for the Jaguar. I have photographed the engine serial number, the VIN, and chassis number. None of these, apparently, is the number they want.
Does this number even exist, and if so, where can I find and photograph it?
Thanks for your help!!

Well, this is not strictly a car problem. My wife and I are Americans, but she managed to get Italian citizenship and bless my son and I with it. (My family came from the north, hers from Sicily). During that paper warfare we always had two questions to such demands: "could you rephrase the question?" In other words, what do you mean by "type" (besides S-type). And/or "can you show me an example of what you want?" To them a "type" could be engine displacement... you need them to give you an example. IMHO.

It seems that this is a language issue, as you point out. When I legalised my Maserati, they did not ask for this. Same office, same clerk. The Maserati is designated "M139", which is shown on the type sticker on the door post. I'll have to check the existence of this sticker somewhere on the Jag to see if it says "X200". I suspect that this is what they're looking for... fingers crossed, and thanks!
