Default Pic: Painted the STR's calipers red & added JAGUAR decals...

My calipers had the OEM "Jaguar //R" peeling off...Spent $12 for red engine paint and two 4" & two 3" silver decals...I went with red calipers as I bought my car used and it already had red center caps so red calipers are a nice compliment to the red center caps...The newer Jaguar R models also have their calipers painted red...I kept the theme going with just the word JAGUAR as again, the newer Jaguar R models have just the word "Jaguar" lettering (vs Jaguar //R, Brembo, the leaper, //R, etc)...

I never removed the STR's side rectangle R emblems in favor of the newer R emblems as no Jag came from the factory with non-rectangle R emblems on the side...

The STR came with "R" emblems on the front fenders. The calipers look cool. Waiting for the slotted cross drilled rotors to arrive then may also repaint the calipers too.

Thanks, I edited my post to add the word rectangle & non-rectangle to eliminate confusion...Just saying no Jag have ever had the newer non-rectangle R badge on the front fenders...Point being, that's why I just want with JAGUAR instead of JAGUAR //R for the decals...Following newer OEM Jag themes...

Bacardi, your car looks awesome, I am very impressed with how the calipers pop against your silver car. I also noticed your tinted rear tail lights. Did you vht them or is it a vynil overlay? Any plans to tint the side markers?

Taillights are OEM, I took the pic at dusk so perhaps it just looks dark...

Here's are pix pre-painted caliber:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...azilian-66513/

No further plans, I only did the calipers as OEM decal/paint was really bad...

I may be transferring to FL and if so may sell the STR in favor of a large truck as I could buy a fixer upper house...Also they have some great motocross tracks and with a truck I could haul around some dirtbikes in the bed...I actually went to a Toyota dealership a few weeks ago when gas was $4/gal and they offered me a no accidents 2007 Tundra Crewmax w/75K miles for $2000 out the door w/STR trade in...It was hard to walk away, but it doesn't make any sense until if and when the transfer happens...

Nice...MacDill so South Tampa, but will be looking to buy a short sale/foreclosure for no more than a quarter million with an inground pool and garage...Will be looking in South Tampa but I may find a better a deal in St Pete...I just missed a steal on a Treasure Island house fitting that criteria and it was even beachfront; there's no guarantee the transfer will go through...If and when it happens, I'll PM you...

lol...Okay, you buy me two houses and I'll buy you one... T.I. would have a long of list of inconveniences, worst being the daily commute....Daily commute would be rough enough and potentially a two hour drive home on Friday afternoons on Holiday weekends...

Speaking of St. Pete - personally I love the Indian Rocks/Indian Shores beach area - seems kinda laid back and that beach is pretty much perfect. Everytime I go to Tampa for business I stay in Indian Rocks and stuff my face at the Salt Rock Grille....check that area out if it would be convenient for ya....

Great area, been there but not the Salt Rock Grille...But at best, it's one hour commute to work, possibly two hour ride home on Fridays...
