Default Possible that 00-02 S-type Inner tie rods are longer than 03+ Stype inner tie rods?

Hey guys, just had a quick question. I purchased 2 inner tie rods for my 02 s-type 3.0 and 1 side was fine, the other side my mechanic told me when he went to install it, it was to big. I purchased both tie rods from welsh Jaguar. Is it possible that maybe the 03 and newer s-types have longer inner tie rods? I called welsh and they didnt have another tie rod on hand to check. If anyone knows, please let me know, thank you.

That's odd because Jaguar does not sell the inners separately? Are these factory parts? I think there was a change for 2003 as the S Type got a revised suspension which included the steering rack.

It would be much cheaper if you used Lincoln LS parts since they are identical for the early 2000-2002 cars.
