Hi. I have joined this forum to ask a single question - the bushings on the lower end of the front shock absorbers are worn on my Yr2000 S-type 4litre Jag. The car has DSC, and the garage thinks I will have to replace both the front shocks at a fabulous price. My question is - can new bushings be inserted into the shocks on the 2000 version? It looks like I can get replacements for 2002 onwards. Can anyone help with guidance?

I don't know of replacement lower shock bushings, but I do know that the non-CAT struts are "inexpensive". Watch out for garages who'll squeez the dollars out of your pockets whilst banking on your ignorance in the process. Pop on a pair of affordable non CATS Bilstiens, etc., then get an alignment.
