Default Power seat troubles

Hi all. I have a new to me '02 s-type 4 liter and I'm having trouble with the power seats. No controls for the driver side are working except for the lumbar. I've checked all pertaining fuses and all are good so I tried contact cleaner on the switches but still no go. I cleaned all the connections to the motors and the seat module but that still didn't help so I'd decided to swap seat modules with the passenger side to see if that was the cause, but realized that the passenger side has the same problems. No controls work except for the lumbar, which I believe is on a separate fused circuit. Could this be a bad driver door module? Both mirrors and all windows are working and from my research, I think the door module controls those too. I'm not sure where to go from here and any advise would be appreciated.

Regarding the lumbar - either the bladder bag could be shot or a loose connection. The odds of this happening for both seats is remote at best.

What color are your seats? FYI - cleaning out my garage and putting a set of front seats from my 00 S-Type up later.

All connectors were cleaned and are snug and both lumbars are working. It's all the other seat controls that aren't, for both sides. Any advice before I try replacing the DDM?

I ended up replacing the driver door module in hopes that it was the problem, but still no go. No driver or passenger seat controls work except for the lumbars. Anyone else have any ideas what to check?

There are seat modules - look at the Electrical Guide.

Hi Spiralout
Hope this helps I have changed the seats in my car for the same problem. I found out after it was the spiral device which the seat is wound back with and if your long in leg like me I had to have it full way back This apparently jams the works, as it comes to a stop at the end of the Archimedes bar and jams. I made it work once by operating the switches and jumping up and down on the seat. However I had to change in the end. If you take it back fully then come forward a little and save the setting you should have no further problems. My seat has been working for many years now trouble free.
