Power steering loss. Need help
Hello,
I have a slight problem and need some advise. I recently got my 2001 s type stuck. I had to be pulled out by a wench hooked to my trunk latch(I'll come back to this). After trying numerous times to get out myself this was my only option. I now do not seem to have power steering. I have checked my fluid. It is filled. No visable leeks on any lines that I can see nor any moisture on any surrounding areas. Steering is very difficult and I have one service option that is highly expensive, as I would like to avoid this like most people.
Has this malfunction happened to anyone?
Can anyone provide or advise a solution?
Oh and the trunk issue.............
Trunk latch will not engage around post but will function with both releases is there a proper alignment with mechanism and post? I know this was stupid but trust me I LOVE MY JAG. this was a last resort........
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.

You also are NEW, so welcome.
PLEASE do your intro in the "new members area" when time permits, as it is an expected protocol.
Not saying if V8 or V6????.
The parts listing shows a "Transducer" at the base of the steering rack pinion head. The Part # is XR830017, and BIG $$.
I do not know what it does, BUT, transducer is generally electrically orientated, and has wires attached. Sooo, maybe in the removal process of the "stuck" you have dislodged the connector??. I believe these are an electrical assisted rack giving variable pressures at different speeds.
Of course the pump simply could have died, or the belt is not driving the pump properly or at all.
