Default pressure control solenoid "c" code p0795

This has been happening for a while now.

2001 S-type 3.0l I think I have the 5R55N gearbox.

Transmission shop took her in for surgery today, I do not feel good right now. Keeping my fingers crossed it is the (THE) spring.

Wish me luck.

I felt the exact same way about 7-10 days ago when I took mine in for the same codes. Mine was the spring. She drives like a dream now. I'm hoping yours is the same.

Oh. BTW. The place I bought it from actually paid for half of the repairs. I was surprized.

Damn Greg; you are the lucky one. I had to foot the whole bill, $806.00 plus $33.00 for car rental but it was the spring. Broken in three places. I had a little friction material in the pan but nothing special. Condusive to 93K on that transmission.

She drives like a dream again and I am over the bloody Moon right now.

Did you clean your MAF and notice any difference in your gas mileage?

Mine was broken in three parts too. I guess living in a small town and riding up on my bike to find a biker mechanic may have helped with the price a bit. Fortunately I did not need a car rental... but I did have to drive my V10 pickup a few days more than normal!

I did clean the MAF, but since I had only had it for about 200miles before the tranny went out, I cannot say for certain that mileage went up. But at least I know the air filter and MAF are clean and good for a long while.

Still need to gt the cabin filter switched on of these days. Too many things on my plate right now...

Glad you are back on the street and rolling happy again. Hopefully neither of us will have Jag problems for some time to come... (I just did my taxes and owe the IRS $3K so there goes all my fun money!)

Greg
