Question Problem still not solved guys, help!

I own a 2005 S-Type, I tried using a magnet to retrieve the fallen clip but had absolutely no luck, my local junkyard only has a 1996 xj6 and I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have nearly the same set up. I called Jaguar here in town and they told me i had to buy the entire lower hose to the coolant reservoir to get that metal retaining clip, which is $130.00 I tried with a jubilee clip but it apparently doesn't give it the proper amount of tension because it leaks like crazy went i start the car. If anybody has any suggestions besides paying for a new hose that would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, Jeff.

Jeff,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to S-Type forum because the clip looks to be specific to this model.

Presumably this is the clip?

As you have already been advised, it's not listed as available separately from Jaguar.

Have you removed the undertray(s) and poked around under the car?

Looks the same issue as the "Help Me! - Coolant leak" thread, which now has lots of help.
