Pentofrost SF (the pink stuff) here.

Use antifreeze meeting Jaguar specification for the vehicle, and DO NOT mix antifreeze types.

The correct coolant for the MY2006 X202 meets Jaguar specification WSS M97B44-D

I flushed out whatever was in there and just refilled it with the good old fashion Prestone green, and it works fine so far

ANY modern coolant will likely work fine as long as they are NOT MIXED.
Flush and fill is OK but I use what Jaguar recommended.(to each his own)

Zerex G05 is correct for your car. Mix exactly 50/50 with water.

NO IT IS NOT! G05 is the HOAT formula. what we have is the G30/G12 OAT formula!
Same confusion is for example with chrysler/dodge cars where the pre 2012 ones come with G05m HOAT (but in orange color) and people throw G12 OAT on top trying to match the colors and they end up slushing their cooling system.
G05 (GOLDEN or ORANGE) is equiovalent with Ford WSS-M97B51 or Chrysler MS-9769
G12 (PINK OR ORANGE) is equivalent with Ford WSS-M97B44 or Chrysler MS-12106
and this last mentioned is what we have in our s types. Check the owners manual please, or the sticker on the coolant tank (if the sticker is still there)

I've had G05 in the car since 2014. Zerex/Valvoline has updated their recommendation for MY car. They now recommend G30 on their website. I use Valvoline full synthetic oil too. I am on their engine guarantee for 300,000 miles if you follow their instruction. It is too bad they have stopped taking new customers on this program, but that is another issue. Zerex says the G05 is a HOAT product. on their website. I have to change antifreeze this year. I'll use G30 this time.

Yes, my bad G05 is HOAT,
but as i said, still not compatible with our cars. We have ford's orange OAT B44(G30).
G05 is for fords with golden B51. Check the zerex g05 file.
i will correct above in regards to Oat/Hoat

and yes G30 is G12, thats what you need

Chrysler had the same formulas, and the service mixed them and i had to clean my whole cooling system. Please use the specification in your owner manual. It wasnt valvoline that built your car but ford.
With all respect.

fiat chrysler problem. g30 (g12+) was built to be mixable with the old g11 hoat.

but still g05 should’ve never got near his car. dexcool or motorcraft yellow (b44d replacement) is cheap and readily available. this is what happens when you go to the auto parts store and their catalog is wrong.

iirc, G11 was before G05 in mopars and then came G30. Im not sure what g11 was or it's mixing allowance, but whatever.
But its not a Mopar problem only, the whole trinity GM, Ford, Mopar used the same coolants. I mentioned about Mopar cause im very familiar with them, and was easy for me to provide manufacturer buletins as proof.
Again, some ford cars use G05 as well, but our S Types, of course, they use G30 (G12).
Pigments are not reliable indicators.

Default Proper Coolant

I am confused. I am looking at a jug of Zerex Dex-Cool and it states it meets WSS-M97B44-D (Jaguar Spec.) orange OAT formula. Is this the same as G30 ? Am I good to use this ??

@Car Crazy, yes, you can safely use DEXCOOL if the current coolant in the vehicle is the same. If not, the system must be thoroughly flushed before using DEXCOOL.

If that Zerex is blue, it is not recommended. I use Pentofrost SF
