Default pulled the trigger on an 05 racing green w/100k

checked this baby out today and she was very impressive. was my first time driving an s-type and i liked it. its the v6. very lightly used interior with no broken / worn bits. only issue is the famous parking brake fault , accompanied by the constant beeping - which i have read up on in the forum and will be asking the seller to replace the battery first. all in all a nice car , no clunks / shimmies. the rubber on it is shot , sso that led to slight vibrations above 50. all in all im excited. i ddnt know how the view behind the wheel was going to be... thats a major thing for me. i liked that you could see the hood out in front of you with the leaper poking out. here are some pics. we agreed to $8500.

Looks great, congrats! But I would get that dealer sticker off the backend ASAP .

Looks like it has been updated by the yellow sticker under the hood.

Remember there are alot of common issues solved in the FAQ thread here under the S Type/ S Type R, many DIYs with pics .

thanks rick , i havent picked it up yet.. but yes , he will not be getting free advertising out of me! i have already begun perusing this section of the forums as i am already well versed with the x308 area. i gave a good look under the bonnet and didnt notice any weeps etc etc , car idled very smooth from cold start. i was again very impressed with the whole picture. the only thing is the 16" wheels have to go. i am looking at some 17" coventry's with vogue tires. i wont dare go over 17' here in the nyc area, but it needs something to fill in. i was actually thinking about wire wheels with white walls... circa old school mkII !! but that is a bit $$$$$

Looking good, enjoy!
As Rick says all the usual faults are well covered in the S section, if you do find a problem.
