If you have neither Sat Nav or CDC, then the Kaiser panel will be visible as soon as you remove the boot trim panel.

You will need to remove these four bolts and ease the panel forward to see the JaguarVoice module (if fitted) and the phone module attached to the back of the panel. That is the way it is on my car. I think it will be the same on yours.

I can send you the official Jaguar fitting instructions for Bluetooth if you want. It makes everything perfectly clear. Or just ask me any questions and I'll certainly try to assist

Do you know for sure whether you have Bluetooth fitted to your car?

Done

Have you got Bluetooth or are you going to retro-fit it?

I checked with a iPhone 3GS. I found no Bluetooth in the car. Does it have to be activated. I'm just bought this and I'm learning about it.

That'll be a bonus then

Have you tried using your iPhone to detect the Jaguar Bluetooth signal?

When you press the telephone button on the centre console, what if any, message do you get?

I was going to ask if you had the microphone but I can't remember when Jaguar superseded the concealed microphone, the earlier one being next to impossible to see unless you drop the overhead console.

Do you have Jaguar Voice?

FWIW, the kit I retro-fitted in my colleague's car was done from scratch and it worked without having to be enabled.

I suspect that maybe you don't have Bluetooth, even though you have the two telephone buttons on the centre console.

It is simple to check though. All you need to do is lift out the storage box under the armrest in the centre console (2 small Torx screws) and you will then see the bluetooth module tucked away inside the void.

Refer to the documentation I sent you via e-mail and it will become perfectly clear... unlike my efforts at description

No biggie if you haven't got it though. I bought a kit of the three modules to retro-fit in a colleague's S Type and it only cost £85 from fleabay, which is about $125.

The D2B fibre optic cable can be simply replaced as well to allow for the additional module. In fact, if you're as tight-fisted as me, you can just get a double ended cable and splice it in to your present cable

The answer is no. So I will be looking for parts. Will the parts work in a 03 s type.

Yes, if your car has D2B. As I understand it, the 2003 MY had the D2B network.

Have you got a CDC in the boot (Trunk)?

OK. No worries

You'll need to pull the trim panel out on the left hand side of your trunk. You will be looking for a connector with two cables attached. The cables will be stiffer than normal electrical cables as they are fibre optic cables. I imagine they will have a termination attached, that being a small loop of fibre optic cable effectively linking the two cables where they appear in the trunk area from the front of the car.

It will look like one end of the cable in the attached picture. Use the document I sent you as a guide - did you receive it yet?

Borrowing shamelessly from another forum, and with acknowledgements and grateful thanks to the originator, the picture below shows what you should find

Don't know if this will help, but, I just paired my Iphone 4 to my 2008 S Type Bluetooth. All this high tech stuff is new to me, but I read the Bluetooth manual with the car and it said I had to enter "1313" on my IPhone keypad, hit "Pair", (think that was on the touchscreen), and it was done!

I completely forgot how to pair mine when I got a new phone and had to grab the owners manual. I'm surprised it took so long for someone to post this info. Not a very user friendly BT system.

If I can't get the system to work. I'm going to sell the whole system and go after marker.

The black & red connector where the Bluetooth transceiver module plugs in needs to have 8 wires in it, most likely your car only has 5 wires.

If so you will need a little custom wiring harness to make it work, I've made a few of these in the past.
