Quick question for you Pro's

Ford owned the lion's share of Jaguar during the S-Type's design and production run. The S-Type's twin brother is the Lincoln LS. As you get more familiar with your car, you'll discover a number of Ford-built or Ford-stamped parts in your S-Type. Ours is a 2005 3.0 model, and our car's original window MSRP sticker says that our car is 45% North American, 30% British, and 15% German from a parts origin standpoint. The remaining 10% not listed on the window sticker is probably mostly Japanese. By your 2008 model year, those percentages could have changed somewhat....

Jon's car is a 3.0 V6 so has a Ford engine block with jag heads.
The suspension was redesigned away from the original so it handled much better, so I expect the suspension's not American.
The lovely DCCV is a Motorcraft part so at first glance Ford/American, but actually Bosch I understand, so looks to be German.
The cars were built here (England).
Both (if autos, as most are and Jon's & mine are) have the German ZF box.
The V8 4.2 uses a jag engine. I can't see how the V8 could possibly be 45% and am puzzled how even the V6 is said to be. Maybe they fit a US battery.
