R badge

Fair price for that style badge. Try getting the correct badge for that price!
Over the years I managed to buy 4 correct R badges; should've bought more when they were cheap.
I replaced the factory fitted boot badge with one of my 4 spares after the UV rays killed it. The UV rays subsequently killed that badge and I'm only down to 2 correct ones left. Was going to buy a 3rd to keep a complete spare set but at 50 pounds (the cheapest I could find) I think I may give it a miss. I've noticed the asking prices for the correct badges getting higher each year as they get more scarce. Other than the X350 XJR (not sure about the X358 XJR) I don't think that type 'R' badge appeared on any other model so stocks will runout eventually.
The mudguard R badges on my car are still in reasonable condition as they don't see as much of the sun.
I now cover the boot badge with insulation tape when the car's boot is facing the sun..

Plenty still showing for sale at a cheap price with 'out of stock'. That's about as useful as **** on a bull. Not as if they'll be getting stock from anywhere anytime soon.
We've a similar problem with the correct type wheel badges; probably worse as they don't seem to be for sale anywhere.
There were some high quality ones branded on the back as 'Made in Italy' that I managed to get. And I've really looked after them by keeping them very clean, applying a mild wax regularly and never spraying them with wheel cleaner chemicals but they've started to loose their lustre..
I did manage to at least buy 3 of what I assume are genuine Jaguar ones that due to their scarcity I'm reluctant to ever put on the car. These have just the recycle triangle and the words 'PC+ABS' imprinted on the back.
Like the correct 'R' badge on the S Type they're the nicest wheel centres; the later 'R' badges and later wheel centres don't do anything for me. The Growler looks too computer generated and the later 'R' badges look like they're only half a badge.
