rack and pinion DIY friendly?
so long story short i have ruined my rack and pinion in an attempt to show off, (hit the curb). Now i have gotten it aligned after i replaced my lca cuz it was ruined as well, after a few days of drying it around town the steering isn't the same anymore, the steering wheel doesn't stay straight, i know for a fact one of the inner tie rods (the side that i hit the curb with) got vent a little but even with the alignment done it isn't fixed.
So my conclusion is to get a used rack and pinion for 200$ instead of replacing the inner tie rod thats like $50, why u ask, well thats were i need your opinion, is it easier to replace the whole rack/pinion or just that inner tie rod thats damage?
note: idk if it matters but when i have the car on stands, i can mode the wheels left and right with ease from the outside without having the ignition on. It feels as if the steering wheel doesn't lock.

Since proper steering is essential for your safety and the safety of those on the road with you, consider having the vehicle looked at by a competent shop or Jaguar specialist.
There may be damage to the lower and upper ball joints, tie rod end, suspension upright and lower control arm from the kerb impact.
There are special tools involved for removal of the inner tie rod from the rack, but that is less work than removing and replacing the complete rack assembly.
