Default Radiator Options

Are there any options better than OEM? I noticed on my 2005 the core is very thin.

Does Jaguar make their own rad or do they use an outside company to make them?

looks like visteon makes the radiators for jaguar. I found this sticker on the side of my radiator.

Why do you want to re-engineer the cooling system?

My main objective is to find the same or higher quality part as the dealer item at a lower price. I'm only looking in to a direct fit part with no "re-engineer" mods required.

They don't seem to fail often (hardly any posts here or UK forum about them) so may be OE only.

Google found a bunch of supposed 'direct fit' rads ranging price from $95 up to $500. I think you're dreaming if you want to find a better, cheaper rad that fits as well as the OEM version. Good luck.

Maybe the radiator for the XF/XFR might work as an upgrade. Don't know if the inlet & outlet are the same, but it could be around the same dimensions as your stock one. Since it's for a bigger engine that might be an option you can explore.

Visteon rads are priced very well, since they make the rads for jaguar I have a feeling they are restricted from selling this rad because of a deal with jag. Hopefully I can dig up a company that can sell me this part number so I can save a few hundred dollars and end up with the same jag part.

Has any one found a company that will sell this visteon rad?

Me too. I thought the plastic end tanks were the toughest parts of a modern rad.

OP- have you taken it to a rad shop for their opinion and possible repair?

I have changed the end parts of the OEM rad with aluminum (race rad shop could do it)
The most important side is the intake where the hot water enter in the rad
