Rain sensing Wipers or not?

The sensor is in the interior rear view mirror stem and visible through the glass from outside the vehicle.
Where fitted, rain sensing wiping will be initiated when the vehicle is running and not in PARK or NEUTRAL gear selection. The wiper switch must be in the AUTO position.
I've had this feature on all my recent Jaguars and leave it OFF because it initiates wiping before there is sufficient rain on the glass to avoid scratching. One of a growing list of "features" I don't require with each successive model.

Thanks GGG!
My "problem" is that they don't operate on anything but high. Except... after driving for an hour or so in the rain they work normally. Also they don't park in the home position at all.
Thus far I put new relays in and it made zero difference.
On Sat I'll next measure power at the motor. (hopefully its just motor cause thats cheap)
