Default rain sensor

Ok my 2001 s type rain sensor is not working I checked the fuse and its good its on the same circuit as the mirror is on and the rearview mirror dims and everything else perfect but my rain sensor is not working will is this common? Do you think I should change the sensor or the switch

I know nothing about the rain sensor but this oneline on the car should help http://www.gusglikas.com/images/Auto...x2022001en.pdf go to Fig 13.1 page 99 and you will see a Rain Sensing Module. I would check all the connectors from the fuse to the module. I hope this helps!

You have checked the basics?

The switch is in the auto position isn't it? I've found that if the screen is not clean it can have an effect on the sensor operation.

Also the lever is one level up from the bottom? Just making sure because otherwise it does not work even if it is at auto...

I don't use that setting, I find it to erratic.

I don't use this feature much, but I do find it work much better than the one I had in my Lexus and it was a 2006.
