(4H33-9C684-AC).....it is the ribbed pipe going from throttle body to 90 degree shiny elbow
A caldoofy or mina gallery pipe, or the like will be needed also ....the rubber hoses are a 4x3 and a 3.5x3....the throttle body hose stays the sameLast edited by scottjh9; 12-21-2019 at 06:46 PM.

The rear part on the stock one is realy inefficient whereas the RR one is better designed there and offers more flow onto the TB, that next for being a bit larger in diameter which helps as well.
For info, the full intake setup of the Ranger Rover was larger as well, they included even a 90mm MAF.

wouldn't a 4'' alloy pipe with a silicone elbow be an improvement even over the RR intake ?

4" is really to wide for the airflow on these setups, 3.5 is already on the big side, so if you could make with that size a smooth turn with large radius, than that would be best.
In the RR intake itself is also a bell shape at the rear, and my best guess is that the RR one is already close to what you can achieve for maximum flow on these setups (so at max a pulley change).

joe....looks like the range rover maf is a separate unit, whereas the str is made into the airbox lid....also I believe oem RR is bosch, looking at a used one on the breakers website...if you could fit the RR maf in, then you would be able to use a 4 inch connecting tube i would think....avos has his twin-screw setup larger , but he knows what he is doing, so my advice is just conjecture if you know what i mean

of course ...goggle or search ebay for this part number

Never stupid, not to me anyway.....glad to help.....i believe the caldoofy tube is 3.5 inches matching the airbox outlet.....if so, you would only need a 4 to 3.5 inch rubber reducer hose....easily found on many sites.....i have the mina tube that is 3 inch.....that is why mine is 4 to 3.....the new rubber intake hose connects to the new Range Rover intake ....a little custom cutting of the ribs on the intake for clearance, a little squish of the tube to make it oval, and good hose clamps at all connections and you are done

Question to OP or anyone, did the STR come with ribbed charge coolers in the later years or did you swap those also? I ask since I was going to swap to the STR coolers for the 'SUpercharged' inscription, they did away with that on the XF while it still had the 4.2 motor.
Is there any difference between them? I run it without the plastic cover and the old coolers would complement the engine more. Thinking of doing the swap when supercharger rebuild comes due. Thanks.
