Rear Muffler/Exhaust System Possible Intrest.
Allright, Heres the deal. I have been working on cars for years and EVERY one of my cars i have done my own work on. I have built more or less around 30 or so custom welded exhaust systems over the years. I want an exhaust for my S type and it is amazing what some of these companies are getting for the REAR sections ONLY.
Remus is like 1000
Arden is like 1400
MINA is around 900
This is INSANE! I can buy the stainless piping, mufflers (Magnaflow, Borla, or another stainless muffler), tips, hangers, and clamps for WAAAAAY less than that.
So heres the deal. I might get into the exhaust business for Jaguars.
How popular do you guys think rear sections for S-types would be?
I can probably make a very nice FULL Stainless Bolt on rear exhaust section for around 650.00 (+/- 50.00) dollars plus shipping.
What do you guys think? Would it be popular? I might do this I just want to know what the community thinks about something like this.
Thanks for the input!

I dont see how those exhausts are so expensive. My exhaust is complete and I got it custom for $490. It has 2 inch piping from the cats, into the resonators, then the 2 inch piping continues into the 10 series flowmaster race mufflers, followed by the 4 inch angle cut chrome tips. The exhaust is a true dual, and are separate, I removed the "H" pipe, the 2 systems do not make any contact. This exhaust roars down the street. I have posted a vid several months back.

Okay. I am going to start putting something together. I like Magnaflow Mufflers because they are stainless and aren't too loud.
I figure after i get a jig made I should be able to sell them around 5-600 bucks for the rear sections. Bolt on and full stainless with tips.

Get yourself 2 of these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Flowm...spagenameZWDVW
get yourself any tip you like, no longer than a foot. And that is an exhaust system taht will fit fine, and sound amazing. Welding is necessary, so have a muffler shop do it if you cannot yourself. I had all my piping upgraded to 2.5", but Im not sure how much of a difference it makes. I kept the resonators on because I first had them off, and this thing was literally TOO loud. any questions, feel free to contact me;.

Edra, that sounds very good...So is the best scenario to just go with a custom build???
I want a noticeable improvement with a louder sound but I do not want it to be too loud or obnoxious...
In regards to the OP, I would definitely be interested as well...especially around those prices...

I purchased some magnaflow mufflers and tips for 130 shipped. Alocal exhaust shop quoted me 80 bucks to install; 210 for out the door isnt bad, I'll post pics when the stuff gets here. and hopefully a vid (if I can figured it out) after its on and been run for a while.

RE: Rear Muffler/Exhaust System Possible Intrest.
I have not had any mechanical problems with my exhaust. No warning, no lights, nothing. I havent even gotten pulled over, its been well over a year since I have had the exhaust. One day, a CHP on a motorcycle, fulled up next to me at a red light, tapped on my tinted front window, I rolled it down and he says, "Ive never seen pipes on a Jag, nice!" I was pretty relieved to hear him say that, I thought he was gonna bust me for my windows and exhaust.
