Default Rear Tie Rod and Sway Bar Links Replacement

Hey there, super helpful but I had a question I also have an STR and the parking brake caliper is blocking the room for the bolt to come out. I’ve done minor suspension work on my car but haven’t removed the EPB before. Is there an easy way to do so or a video you can share?

The JTIS manual instructs to use the special EPB software to release the parking cable and I’m hoping there’s an alternative. I would prefer not to have the hassle of retracting the pistons, bleeding the brakes, and calibrating the parking brake just to remove this bolt.

This may be naive, but Is there a simple way to remove the caliper completely without needing to detach the cable or remove the pads?

You might want to make this a separate new post, as opposed to tacking your issue on to the end of a very old message thread.

Also, it is customary to post an introduction here:

Welcome to the forums Afraaz,

I've moved your question from the end of an old thread on a related topic to a new thread.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. If I remember right ......start car.....hold park brake to release position with one hand, and while holding it, turn car off and remove key....it will remain released until car is started again....I do not know if this method works with the brembo brake set up with the separate park brake caliper
