Easier Said than done my friend.

I'd have to:

A) Sell my house in a depressed Real Estate Market
B) Find a job down there that pays a semblance of what they do here
C) Drag all my crap down there
D) Get the front bumper holes filled in all my cars

Oh not to mention find a house down there and all that fun stuff..

Take care,

George

Not terribly bright of you inviting folks from NJ to move down there. Once you get more than 3 of us there we'll just ruin it!

The amount of crap I have in storage to move is absurd. I'm stuck here too. At least until the union and food rioting begins. The corruption and retirement plans for city & state employees here is just so bad and now it looks like it's all gonna blow up. I'm not sure our new governor can steer the NJ-Titantic away from the iceberg in time. SC is sounding good! A few other spots too!

The town north of where I'm from in Michigan just laid off their entire fire department. So it could be worse. Apparently they couldnt afford a fire department anymore.

Ours really couldn't either, or at least all of them, plus the police. But the unions are so strong here that laying them off wasn't an option, so they just put in another property tax increase, of .25 per 100 of assesed value to cover their jobs.

In my case that's about 1300 extra per year.

I agree with Bob that our state / municpal worker benefits / salaries / pension system is about to explode, and come to a head, especially with the trend of some other states to block them from unionizing.

Oh and Bob, we wouldn't ruin the Carolinas, we'd just give them some attitude

Take care,

George

It would take years to sell all my crap before I could think of moving. Maybe I should get started?

Oh god, I can't even imagine. With all the car parts I have here that I don't even own the cars anymore, I'd have one hell of an ebay auction. Crap, I should probably do that one of these days anyway LOL.

I can only imagine what someone who does this for a living has....

Take care,

George

Actually I started to do the ebay thing a couple years ago. People will buy most anything. I did pretty well and should get back at it. Takes time though and a bit of a PITA weighing, packing , shipping. LOTS of stuff here for cars that have been long gone.
