Replaced broken left taillight, appears to still be getting no power?

2000 s-type, v8.
Crashed my car a while back, rear left end hit a bridge, which resulted in cracking up the rear left taillight. Was quoted $400 for the part after the accident, but being that the part appears to be a simply connected in one place, I ordered a used taillight to cut costs, pictures attached in case that's helpful.
Anyways, I disconnected the old taillight and put the new one in today, and was getting no light, though the right side worked perfectly fine. Figured it might be the bulbs getting rattled while being shipped, so switched the lights from the right side, still no luck.
Reconnected the old taillight hookup and tried it with the working bulbs from the right side, and still nothing.
Checked all the fuses to see if the shop it was in may have pulled a fuse and not replaced it while looking at it, and that doesn't appear to be the case, unless for some reason that's effected by the General Electric Module, fuse #30 in the passenger compartment, which doesn't appear to be the case?
So basically I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why this could be? Maybe there's some other hook-up along the lines that might be disconnected that I should be checking? Could the impact on the left side have somehow ruined my left side lighting hook-ups forever?!?!?
I'm by no means a car expert, but have checked the manual and internet thoroughly and still haven't had any luck. Would be glad to supply any information if I've missed something or even pictures of something if that would help. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
