Replaced the entire suspension on my STR, plus High flow cats and pulley...like new!
I know it might sound pretty stupid to do this with 44,000 miles on the car -- but the ride just wasn't like it was when the car was new so I decided to replace everything. Front and rear dampers, control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints for the suspension...and a 3lb pulley, high flow cats + new oxygen sensors and caldoofy intake elbow. Wow what a difference! The cats and elbow made a HUGE noticeable difference. My check engine light was on for about 8000 miles with a PO420 cat code so I'm guessing theyve been messed up for a while and restricting power like crazy.
ALSO -- for the cats I used the OBD2 type spun converters..something like 9966HM for the part number. They fit perfectly. The tone is not raspy but way more throaty and european sounding. Should have did this years ago!

Bigtime for sure. The car rides like brand new now...no more sloppy steering or soft floaty feeling at high speeds. I think my situation is unique though because I've hit potholes at 120+mph and bent a control arm, cracked a wheel in half and tore up a hub assembly. That probably ruined the shocks too..and it was over a year ago

I hate to ask, but could you give a ballpark figure of how much the suspension re-do cost you? I'm preparing to do mine, but I'm not sure how much to budget.
