Default Replaced STR cabin filter.. look at this !!

Just replaced, probably was the first time it had been done.

This is a worthwhile simple task. look at the pic, i cut away tyhe pleats..look at that dirt ! also included the part number..alot of filters will fit but only a few have the carbon..denso is good stuff.

take out all 8 push pins and all torx and lift cowel..still a tight fit but no probs

Where is a good place to get them? I'm thinking they can only be ordered online as no one seems to stock them.

I got mine at my local NAPA store. You can use their website and they will tell you if they have it in stock. If not they can order it from another store for free. I think mine was about $20.

Oh, and make sure you install it in the correct ' air flow ' orientation. I paid a local shop (Autoscope, LTD in Plano, Texas) to do this part of my 60k checkup. They installed the cabin filter backwards. It makes a lot of popping noises when reversed. I had to fix their mistake on my own dime. The owner won't return my calls or e-mails.

WRONG WAY:

Ebay is a good place for them. I got all of my filters last month for all 3 jags on ebay.

Here is one for your '00 Jaguar 4.0 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Wix-2...Q5fAccessories

$14.37 + 3.99 shipping for a WIX filter
