Default Replacing gaskets today

I'm getting ready to replace my spark plugs, ignition coils, Upper and lower intake gaskets, IMT orings and valve cover gaskets.

Do any of those need sealant on them? The only thing I've ever done was a head gasket job on my Land Rover but these are different type than I'm use to.(not the flat where I just ran a thin line down the middle.

Any other hints while doing this job?

This is covered in the JTIS. Are you attempting to do this without the Jaguar JTIS?

It's free and worth your time to install.

Yes sealant is needed. There are 2 "half moons" on the head that need dabs.

Follow tbirds advice, if you haven't download JTIS here well.......

LOL I have the JITS but I'm already stumped. I got the drivers side windshield wiper arm off, it moved so I turned it all the way to the up position and it came right off. The passenger side one won't budge. JITS shows a special tool, any hints if you don't have one on what to do?

In JITS is says that I believe it's a fuel line. I just know that it says it's a quick connect and the tube is hard plastic. My problem is I can't see back there well enough to tell what I need to do to get it disconnected.

Any help? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, JITS says it's the brake booster vacuum quick disconnect. I'm sure it's easy but JITS doesn't tell me what to do that makes it easy to disconnect.

I think (from memory) it has a collar that needs to be pushed up then the pipe just slides out.

Heres what it looks like. I believe that you carefully pry the black collar back and push in then back on vacuum line.

Thanks guys. I've been super busy so I'll finish this today. I did remove my spark plugs. #5 had fresh oil all over it.
