I've got a 2000 s-type and i'm trying to replace the cassette/radio/time console. The layout is as following http://i.ytimg.com/vi/tdXIVPfym64/0.jpg
Except mine is a dark-grey. What is not showing in the picture is that above the time/tuner there's a cassette player. As you can see the whole console has a curvature. I found another pic but bad quality:

I'm trying to modernise it a little because who actually still uses a cassette player. I've been googling my *** off trying to find a combined nav/dvd/radio combo. (navigation for europe) Apparently there aren't many original jag parts that would fit for a 2000. Aftermarket i don't know if things will fit or be compatible. Is this a normal 2din space? Does anybody have any suggestions for good sites?
Help very much appreciated.

I think there are posts here (try Search and also the FAQs) and also on Jaguar Forum.co.uk • Index page

I replaced mine with Kenwood DNX9260BT. It fits into the space, but the plastic surround around it needs modifications to fit (or you could leave it out if you are happy with the looks without it) and the supports needed to be drilled to get holes into right places. Plus various adapters for the harness and steering wheel controls.
